Ballast Blanket
Three weights, because you are not the same size as everyone else.
The guidance in this category is that a weighted blanket should be about 10% of your body weight. Most brands sell one weight anyway. Ballast comes in 12, 15, and 20 pounds, and there's a table below telling you which one is yours. 48 by 72 inches — full body coverage without hanging off the bed, because a blanket that hangs off the bed slides off you. Glass micro-bead fill in sewn channels. Removable cover, machine washable, spare covers $42.
- Three weights: 12 / 15 / 20 lb — matched to body weight
- 48" × 72" — covers the body, doesn't overhang
- Removable cover, machine washable
- Sewn channel construction — fill stays distributed, doesn't pool
- Spare covers available — $42
What it does: applies even, distributed pressure across the body — the mechanism usually called deep pressure stimulation. Many people find it calming. It is not a medical device and we make no claims about treating any condition.
