Weight

Three weights, because you are not the same size as everyone else.

The guidance in this category is that a weighted blanket should be about 10% of your body weight. Most brands sell one weight anyway. Ballast comes in 12, 15, and 20 pounds, and there's a table below telling you which one is yours. 48 by 72 inches — full body coverage without hanging off the bed, because a blanket that hangs off the bed slides off you. Glass micro-bead fill in sewn channels. Removable cover, machine washable, spare covers $42.

  • Three weights: 12 / 15 / 20 lb — matched to body weight
  • 48" × 72" — covers the body, doesn't overhang
  • Removable cover, machine washable
  • Sewn channel construction — fill stays distributed, doesn't pool
  • Spare covers available — $42

What it does: applies even, distributed pressure across the body — the mechanism usually called deep pressure stimulation. Many people find it calming. It is not a medical device and we make no claims about treating any condition.

Safety

  • Not for children under 12, or anyone under 100 lb.
  • Never for infants or toddlers.
  • Do not use if you cannot remove the blanket independently, without assistance.
  • Never place over the head or face.
  • Consult a physician before use if you have a respiratory condition, sleep apnea, a circulatory condition, low blood pressure, diabetes, or limited mobility.
  • Not a medical device. Not a treatment for any condition.
